You can use the Lookup Range activity to search for values using Excel. This activity searches a specific range of a specific sheet and returns the address of the cell it belongs to.
There is a sheet with the following values entered.
Open Excel in Excel Application Scope. Deploy the LookupRange activity.
Set the properties of the Lookup Range activity.
|Range||Specify the range to search for the value. Specify a range such as “B1: E5”. If a cell such as “B3” is specified or not specified, the entire sheet is searched.|
|SheetName||Specify the target sheet name.|
|Value||Specify the value to search for. Here, the string “May 2018” in “E1” is searched.|
|Result||Specify a string variable to store the search result.|
